2015 Roadshows....August

Back across the Irish Sea and cross country for a week long Marine Wildlife Roadshow at Souter Lighthouse in Tyne & Wear, working with The National Trust, then back across country to Merseyside for a one-day roadshow working with Sefton Coast Landscape Partnership.  !500 miles over 4 weeks and 1000s of visitors, plus lots of new items found to add to the beach finds tabletop display, and new contacts made for future roadshows

At the National Trust's iconic Souter Lighthouse, on the Coast Road between Newcastle and Sunderland a marquee set up in the Foghorn Field, we presented a 7 day Marine Wildlife Roadshow to 2000+ visitors
"oh we do like to be beside the sea"
...we filled the marquee with our inflatable marine wildlife models
...with a brilliant Punch & Judy show amongst the dolphins
...a National Trust info table and a craft corner
...where hundreds of great sea creatures were created by visitors of all ages
and face painting beside the Killer Whales
Outside there was a bouncy castle and play areas, a barbecue, and frequent sunbathing in the Foghorn Field
We added items from local beaches to the beach finds table
...and seaweed fresh from the beach added the smell of the sea
As the week progressed we added more and more sea creatures from craft tables and seaweed from the beach
Hundreds by end of the week
...and info panels as well amongst the mermaids and jellyfish
The mixture created a great feeling of being underwater inside the marquee
